Memorial Day

I was driving past a cemetery a couple of days ago that I pass frequently and don't pay much attention to. This day it was full of white crosses marking the graves of soldiers killed in service. It was such a powerful image, I got a little teary eyed. Sometimes we are just so busy with our lives that we really don't get a chance to stop and think of the people that came before us and how their sacrifices have shaped the world we live in today. The picture above is another memorial using combat boots to help us remember and reflect.

Summer vacations or dreams of travel. These shoes will take you there. They are a lovely french brand called Pataugas. This shoe is Garner in Moka $200. It is an interesting blend of textured leathers, metallic and matte. It has a great rubber out sole and is very comfortable. Can't you just imagine yourself in the picture above, sipping coffee and taking in the sights? With these shoes you might even be mistaken for a Parisian!

Edie's 10 Year Anniversary!!

Hot Lava

Back in the day, and I won't get into when that was exactly, the Lava Lounge was one of my favorite watering holes. Wednesday was my night. I could guarantee that I would see someone I knew and have a fun night. Great drinks and excellent music. I just recently visited again and enjoyed myself just as much. Cold beers and hot nuts! So stop by and check it out, pre or post party or an after work wind down. Wear these shoes and watch the heads turn. Hot.
